New platform for online and face-to-face events: Our Learning Space

From now on, our live online events will take place in the Learning Space, our ne platform. At the same time, further information (documentation, list of participants, event evaluation, program) is also available there for your face-to-face events.

The Learning Space is our new one-stop shop for events, serving as the hub of our digital and hybrid events, while supporting our in-person events. The biggest benefit of this solution is that we have a platform capable of bringing together participants and speakers at all times, regardless of time and location.

The Learning Space enables you to view a video stream of the event, access related documents and media, and exchange ideas in a number of manners. Be it group work, voting or surveys, the Learning Space has all the relevant features conveniently packaged into one platform, transforming learning together into a truly unforgettable experience.

Different training formats and different learning opportunities

Seminar
A seminar is a training session that serves to communicate or reinforce knowledge in small groups. Seminars are run by a seminar leader or trainer and have an average of 15 to 20 participants.
  • Basic seminar: For teaching the basics and giving a basic overview of the subject. Aimed at beginners.
  • Advanced seminar: Either builds on the basic seminar, providing more extensive, more detailed information on a subject or is aimed at participants with greater knowledge or practical experience.
  • Expert seminar: Aimed at experienced experts and managers with comprehensive knowledge of the subject.
Course
A course is a series of training sessions in which a small group obtains in-depth knowledge in a subject area, often including practical training. It generally consists of a scheduled series of (seminar) units within a subject or a comprehensive, relatively self-contained area of the subject. Normally a certificate or record of achievement is awarded on completion.
  • Training course: A training course is a series of training sessions lasting more than three days in which a small group obtains in-depth knowledge in a subject area, often including practical training. It generally consists of a scheduled series of (seminar) units within a subject or a comprehensive, relatively self-contained area of the subject. Normally a certificate or record of achievement is awarded on completion.
Round table
Course format with seating at a round table to emphasise that all participants are equal and can discuss content under the supervision of an expert. Numbers are limited to 20 participants.

Workshop
A workshop is a session in which a small group focuses strongly on a subject for a limited period of time. It is characterised by a collaboration-based, moderated approach working towards a shared objective.

Conference
A conference is a meeting for a large number of participants (more than 50) working in a specific subject area. It can last one or more days and has multiple speakers.

A structured schedule is not necessary, but does make sense. The content is generally communicated through a series of presentations.
